Our spray tan started by accident really. We started to see more clients having gotten full leg/bikini sugar waxing who would finish our service and travel someplace else to get a spray tan. They started asking us why we didn't provide the service. There were machine sprays, and ultimately two spray tan solution companies controlling 99% of the spray tan market. So everybody was getting the same, orange, smelly tan. Our clients wanted the change.

We realized, functionally, how well the right spray tan could fit in to what we were already doing. Unlike traditional waxing, if a client was sugared correctly, the client can get a spray tan immediately after the service. For that matter the tan itself will actually perform better because the skin is thoroughly and properly exfoliated. So not only could the client get a spray tan from us, but the results would be superior to whatever it was the competitors were attempting. 

We knew we could add a high margin service in conjunction with our menu it will provide add-on solutions and a built-in new client base to draw additional add-ons from. It would also allow us to utilize staff sedentary time as tans book more spur-of-the-moment while sugar waxing is typically on a 4 to 5 week cycle. It was all laid out.

Now it was just up to us to build a solution that would make Sugar Sugar™ the spray tan franchise destination and change the game overall. Easy right? (To Be Continued)
