We knew the downside with spray tans. Nobody liked the way they smelled. Nobody liked the way they looked. It ultimately had turned into a little more than an alternative color people could have. Our spray tan started by accident really. We started to see more clients having gotten full leg/bikini sugar waxing who would finish our service and travel someplace else to get a spray tan. They started asking us why we didn't provide the service. There were machine sprays, and ultimately two spray tan solution companies controlling 99% of the spray tan market. So everybody was getting the same, orange, smelly tan. Our clients wanted the change.

I make it a point every quarter to walk the floor of our business, imagining I am a sugar wax client. At every step I think about the experience, the service, the deportment. Years ago, one of the things we notices was clients will rebook 20-25 points higher if they rebooked directly with their service provider. At first we through this should occur in the rooms. But we wanted the functionality of staff showing clients applicable products. We have an amazing line, Skin From Scratch. Our Content is Real

I'm not going to lie, it was scary starting a business. If we would have started a hamburger stand, it would have been stressful enough. But we could have learned from other businesses, in other markets. There would have been vendors with solutions in place to support all of the issues hamburger stands invariably go through. But there was no knowledge of the sugar waxing market because there was no market. But we saw this as an advantage in that we could create our own image for our own CULTURE from scratch.

Who We Are is How We Are

Aimee always says that Sugaring is the largest portion of the experience. And that it accounts for 40% of the total experience. But it's still less than half of the entire visit. How we answer the phone, book the appointment, point of sale software cleanliness of common areas an bathrooms are all part of this experience and can change a positive review to negative and change a paying client to a passive interest.
